Deborah Rhea Seehorn Bio

Deborah Rhea Seehorn (born May 12, 1972) is an American actress. Her most well-known part is the role of Kim Wexler, an attorney in AMC's Better Call Saul (2015-2018) where she has twice been awarded the Satellite Award as Best Supporting Actress – Series, Miniseries or Television Film. She was also on NBC's Whitney (2011–2013) and ABC's I'm with Her 2003-2004, and TNT's Franklin & Bash 2011-2014. Deborah Rhea Seehorn, a Norfolk native, was born May 12 in 1972. Her mother was an executive secretary in the United States Navy, her father was an agent for the Naval Investigative Service. The family resided in Washington, D.C., Arizona, Japan, and often moved around during her youth. From a young age she was inspired by her grandparent and grandmother to study painting, drawing and architecture. She continued to study the art of drawing, but also developed an interest in acting that was growing and was introduced to modern theater at the age of college. She earned a bachelor's degree in Studio Art from George Mason University in 1994. While at college, Seehorn was looking to enter the theater industry, thanks to the encouragement of her acting instructor. She took on a variety of assistant roles in the theatre industry in D.C. to try to get noticed. She was eventually offered significant parts in local theater productions however, she had to work odd jobs to make ends meet and she was cast in various industrial short instructional films. In the next few years, she was able to get parts in television productions. The roles she played were usually that were "very humorous and funny" like her role model Bea Arthur. Most of these roles were deleted after only one or two seasons. In May 2014, Seehorn was cast in the Breaking Bad spin-off prequel series Better Call Saul. Seehorn portrays Kim Wexler, who is a lawyer , and also the love of Jimmy McGill/Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk).
