Marcia Harvey

Marcia Harvey, an African-American author, is most well-known for her ex-wife comedian and host Steve Harvey. Marcia Harvey has a quiet life, avoiding the attention of the media. Steve did not have the same fame and success that it is today, however they were married 14 years ago. Rumours are circulating around Hollywood regarding the reason for their breakup. Some attribute it to Steve Harvey's habit of cheating as well as others to his decision to choose an alternative career path to comedy. The tragedy of her story can be traced to circumstance that Steve left her and his two daughters, while she was pregnant with their third baby. Marcia Harvey was born to an African-American family. They were not wealthy. She began her career in the department store "Saks Fifth Avenue". Steve came across her at a party to a mutual friend few years later. They met and fell in love. They were married in the year 1980. The couple had twin girls in 1982, and Steve was an insurance salesman. However, around that time Steve was beginning to lose interest in his work and decided to make a career in entertainment, especially stand-up comedy. Marcia and Steve experienced a lot friction and later reports indicated that they were beginning to split up. Marcia Harvey was famous for her divorce from Steve Harvey and marriage. Although the specifics of their divorce in 1994 are kept secret, it is certain that Marcia was expecting their third child when everything fell apart. Marcia eventually filed for divorce on March 23, 1993. After her divorce and Steve Harvey's refusal to pay alimony or child support, Marcia was forced to seek legal help.
