Alison Doody

Alison Doody (born 11 November 1966) is an Irish model and actress. After making her film debut with a small part in Bond film A View to a Kill (1985) she went on to appear as a anti-Nazi archaeologist Elsa Schneider, in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989). The other roles she played include Siobhan Donavan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) as well as Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody became a model after her being approached by an aspiring photographer. The career she pursued has transformed into commercial modeling. Doody stringently avoided glamour and naked work, a rule that was extended to her acting profession. In 1985, after receiving notice from the directors of casting for the James Bond new film, Doody was cast in a minor portion of Jenny Flex as in A View to a Kill. Doody was selected as one of the top twelve promising young actors in the year 1986 by John Willis Screen World. 38. Doody was just turning age 18 at the time she was cast in the role of Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bond girl to date. A Prayer for the Dying with Mickey Rourke also had a part for Doody as IRA Siobhan. Doody was a voice actor in the 1987 TV adaptation of The Secret Garden appearing as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias in his dream. The Storyteller episode from 1988 was her first appearance in the main part in the film Sapsorrow and was portrayed by John Hurt Dawn French Jennifer Saunders. She first appeared in the movie Taffin alongside Pierce Brosnan. Next, she played the role of Dr. Elsa Schneider as an Austrian Nazi-sympathizer and archaeologist opposite Harrison Ford. Doody is part of the James Bond family, having been in the film with Sean Connery and Jonathan Pryce in 1989's Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade. Doody played alongside Jonathan Pryce as Hitler Diaries which was a British mini-series based on Hitler Diaries. Then, she moved to Hollywood. Chosen to replace Cybill Shepherd as the spokeswoman of L'Oreal She went on to perform alongside Charlie Sheen in 1994's Major League II in the role of Flannery his girlfriend and agent. Doody was part of The 2002 British comedy The Actors. Michael Caine played her in a ceremony to receive an award. in 2004, Doody was in the film alongside Patrick Swayze alongside a TV adaptation of King Solomon's Mines. Also Doody appeared on Benjamin's Struggle (2005), which was a pamphlet that described the Holocaust. Doody filmed a role in the film of Danny Dyer, The Rapture. Then, she appeared on RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of a remake in 2011 of the horror movie The Asphyx. However, that project eventually stalled. Her first two seasons of the E4 comedy Beaver Falls in 2011 as Pam Jefferson. She also was on the show as Pam Jefferson on We Still Kill the Old Way.
